Whew...done and done. Between stomach flus, head colds, explosive bowels (too much information?!?) professional days, lack of child care and a power outage the day before the show, I somehow managed to finish everyhing and was at the school doors bright and early Sunday morning. It's a bit of a blur, but was so worth it!
This was the first year that I stuck with one type of item for my table - normally, I have a mixture (because I get bored easily). But this year it was dolls, dolls, dolls...tattooed sailors, mermen, fishermen, mermaids, bathing beauties and fabulous flappers.
My display consisted of an old black travel box a friend had given me, storage crates, vintage luggage, my lovely retro aqua typewriter that displayed my pricing and a little bit about FOXGLOVES and two wonderful doll stands that Geoff made for me (at 10:30pm once the power came back on - what a guy!!). My table cover is actually my shower curtain! It has a wonderful dimpled rectangle pattern that is interesting but not distracting...plus I LOVE the colour.
The doll tags were very fun to make. I laid the backside and front of the tags beside each other, then scored down the centre, cut, folded and secured the front and back with a strip of washi tape. I then hole punched and placed on each side a white re-inforcement sticker to get a little extra pizazz. Each doll was named and date stamped with it's 'date of birth'.
My penguins made a return and sold out pretty quick - they are pretty cute.
Now to get my etsy shop up and running as I have some lovely lads and lasses still waiting to find their forever homes.
