Here on this beautiful island I call home, Bowen Island, I am the proud owner of Spruce Happy + Healthy Housekeeping - LET US SPRUCE YOUR ROOST!

Here at Spruce, we use only all natural cleaners with the majority being handmade by yours truly. My products are steadily growing to include items to help keep your home sparkling clean and smelling great.

All scents are derived either from organic essential oils or directly from the source itself; such as my infused cleaning vinegars that not only smell terrific but also pack a punch in the cleaning department. With combinations such as Orange + Cinnamon and Grapefruit + Mint, how can you go wrong!!?

Why the name Spruce?

A couple years ago, while trudging up to the chicken coop to get the girls home all neat and tidy, I called out, 'okay girlies, it's time to Spruce your Roost!'. I've called it that ever since, so when it came time to name this company, it immediately popped into my head.

What's with all the chickens?

Well really, any excuse to bring chickens into the mix, I'm in! I LOVE my beautiful gals; their funny cackles, beautiful feathers, the way they follow me around the yard and, of course, the delicious eggs they gift us with. Seeing as the name started with these feathered friends, I felt it suiting to pay tribute.

Do you only service Bowen Island?

At this present time, I only service local residents as I have my little ones at school. That's not to say, however, that the North Shore could not be a possibility in the future. To date, I have not explored leaving these shores.

Other than your homemade cleaners, what other brands do you use?

I LOVE Sapadilla and make it my number one go to. Not only do their products work and smell amazing, they are also a local, Canadian company - win win! 

What products will be available for sale?

Right now, I am busy perfecting natural room sprays, infused cleaning vinegar and stove top potpourris. I have MANY more ideas, but would like to keep them under wraps for now...I can't give away all my secrets!
